Job Description

A Guest Services Executive (Gym) plays a critical role in creating a welcoming and pleasant environment in a fitness facility. This role involves ensuring that all members and guests have a positive experience while visiting the gym. The executive is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing guest inquiries, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as the Guest Services Executive often serves as the first point of contact for gym members. They are responsible for managing memberships, addressing any member concerns, and ensuring that the gym is running smoothly and efficiently. Their primary objective is to enhance the overall member experience by maintaining a clean and inviting environment, as well as providing support and information to gym visitors.


Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet all gym members and guests in a friendly manner.
  • Provide accurate information regarding gym facilities, services, and membership options.
  • Handle membership queries and provide assistance with new membership sign-ups.
  • Address and resolve any complaints or issues raised by members or guests promptly.
  • Maintain a clean reception area and ensure all promotional materials are up to date.
  • Coordinate with gym staff to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting gym events, classes, or special promotions.
  • Monitor guest entries to ensure only authorized members access the facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of membership databases and daily guest logs.
  • Promote a positive image of the gym by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Manage cash transactions and ensure accurate financial records at the reception desk.
  • Actively seek feedback from members on their experience and report improvements needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in customer service is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the fitness industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional appearance.
  • Ability to handle complaints and resolve conflicts in a courteous manner.
  • Familiarity with gym operations and fitness terminology is advantageous.
  • Basic proficiency in computer skills for managing databases and records.
  • Flexible working hours including weekends and holidays as necessary.
