Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Guest Service Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for excellent customer service and the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their overall experience at our establishment. You will be responsible for ensuring our guests feel welcomed, valued, and comfortable throughout their stay. Your exceptional communication skills and problem-solving abilities will help you to navigate any challenges that arise, ensuring a positive experience for each guest. As a crucial member of our hospitality team, you will work closely with various departments to ensure guest satisfaction and maintain our high standards of service.


Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon their arrival at the hotel.
  • Manage guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately.
  • Handle guest inquiries and provide detailed information about our services.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for incoming guests.
  • Respond promptly to guest complaints and resolve issues to their satisfaction.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel products, services, and pricing.
  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere through positive guest interactions and service.
  • Process reservations and cancellations according to established procedures.
  • Assist in managing guest luggage and transportation arrangements when necessary.
  • Provide concierge services, assisting guests with restaurant and attraction recommendations.
  • Keep work area clean and organized, ensuring professional appearance at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve the best guest service outcomes possible.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in guest services or hospitality preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask effectively.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency with hotel management software and basic computer skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality education is a plus.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
