Job Description

As a Guest Service Associate specializing in Housekeeping, you play a pivotal role in delivering impeccable hospitality experiences by ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of guest accommodations. You will interact with guests to provide exceptional service, addressing any needs or concerns with professionalism and grace. Your primary responsibility is to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and guest service in accordance with our hotel’s policies and procedures. You’ll work closely with the housekeeping team to ensure all guest rooms and common areas are impeccably clean and organized, contributing significantly to our guests' satisfaction and their subsequent decision to return. Your keen attention to detail and commitment to hospitality excellence will set you up for success in this vital role.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure all guest rooms and public areas exceed cleanliness standards every day.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries or requests regarding housekeeping services.
  • Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms efficiently and accurately.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards discovered during cleaning duties.
  • Keep housekeeping carts well-stocked, organized, and clean at all times.
  • Assist guests with additional requests by providing information and additional resources.
  • Help train and support new housekeeping staff in daily operations and standards.
  • Conduct final room checks and touch-ups before guest arrival or room reassignment.
  • Document inventory usage and work assignments for efficient resource management.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Participate in cleaning deep and common areas as part of a scheduled roster.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest service experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in housekeeping or a related field, preferably in hospitality.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Commitment to providing outstanding guest service and maintaining confidentiality.
