Job Description

The Guest Service Associate – F&B Service plays a pivotal role in creating exceptional dining experiences and ensuring customer satisfaction in hospitality and food service establishments. This role involves welcoming guests, taking and delivering food and beverage orders, and ensuring compliance with hospitality standards. A successful Guest Service Associate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a keen attention to detail, and a proactive approach to guest service. This position requires flexibility, as shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, in order to meet the diverse needs of guests. The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality and possesses the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and poised demeanor.


Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet guests promptly in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Inform guests of daily specials and recommend menu items when appropriate.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders using appropriate systems.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Check-in with guests to ensure satisfaction with meals and service.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to any guest requests or concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas and dining areas.
  • Assist with setting up and cleaning tables in the dining area.
  • Process guest payments ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Follow all safety and hygiene protocols to ensure guest wellbeing.
  • Participate in regular training and development to enhance service skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests effectively.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Proven ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure precision in service delivery.
  • Basic math skills required for order processing and payment transactions.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations including safety standards.
