Job Description

As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will play a pivotal role in ensuring their stay is both enjoyable and memorable. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service, handling inquiries, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently, and addressing any guest concerns or issues with professionalism and courtesy. Your friendly demeanor and extensive knowledge of hotel amenities and local attractions will help create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to return. You will work closely with other hotel staff to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain a clean and safe environment for our guests. Your goal will be to uphold our high standards of hospitality and exceed guest expectations at every opportunity.


Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Efficiently handle guest check-in and check-out processes in a timely manner.
  • Respond promptly and knowledgeably to guest inquiries and requests.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to address guest needs.
  • Maintain an updated knowledge of room availability and hotel facilities.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assist guests with directions and provide information about local attractions.
  • Process payments, verify credit card information, and handle cash transactions securely.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy, professional-looking, and stocked with necessary materials.
  • Promote hotel amenities and upsell services to enhance guest experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of reservations, room allocations, and guest interactions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain seamless operations and service standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective guest interactions.
  • Proficiency in using hotel management software and computer systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a guest-centric approach to conflict resolution.
  • Flexible working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
