Job Description

A Guest Service Agent plays a pivotal role in the hospitality industry, acting as the primary point of contact for guests during their stay at a hotel or resort. These professionals ensure that guests have a pleasant experience by offering exceptional customer service and resolving any issues that may arise. Guest Service Agents are responsible for a variety of tasks, from check-ins and check-outs to handling guest inquiries and providing information about the local area. Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival at the hotel reception area.
  • Assist with the check-in and check-out process seamlessly and efficiently.
  • Respond promptly to guests' inquiries and provide accurate information as needed.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide guests with information regarding hotel services and local attractions.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to address guest requests promptly.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room availability and hotel specials.
  • Process guest payments and manage financial transactions accurately.
  • Ensure the lobby and reception area remain tidy and organized.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Keep records of guest interactions and maintain guest profiles for future reference.
  • Offer assistance to guests with special requirements or accessibility needs.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using hotel management software and booking systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complaints effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
