Job Description

We are seeking a personable and detail-oriented Guest Service Agent to join our hospitality team. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional experience for all visitors. You will handle reservations, check-ins, and check-outs, while offering prompt and polite service to address guest inquiries and concerns. Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys interacting with people, has excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure guest satisfaction, making sure their stay is comfortable and memorable. This position requires a proactive attitude, a commitment to personalized service, and the ability to build rapport with guests.


Responsibilities

  • Welcome and genuinely engage with guests upon their arrival at the hotel.
  • Efficiently check guests in and out with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Handle guest reservations through phone, email, and online booking systems.
  • Provide guests with recommendations and assistance with local attractions and services.
  • Address guest inquiries, complaints, and emergencies promptly and effectively.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address guests' needs promptly.
  • Handle billing and payment processes, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area at all times.
  • Document and communicate any guest preferences and special requests to relevant departments.
  • Maintain knowledge of all hotel services, offerings, and hours of operation.
  • Promote and upsell hotel services and special packages to enhance guest experiences.
  • Assist with guest departure arrangements, including transportation and luggage handling.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required for this position.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interaction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Proficient with hotel booking systems and office software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Positive and friendly attitude with a professional demeanor at all times.
