Job Description

ITP Media Group is seeking an entrepreneurial, strategic Group Commercial Director to lead revenue growth and business development across a portfolio of brands. This senior commercial leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing revenue strategies across a diverse range of B2C and B2B brands.

The successful candidate will identify new commercial opportunities, launch revenue-generating products and services, build strategic partnerships, and drive sustainable growth across digital, print, events, research, awards, content marketing, and emerging business lines.

This role requires a highly commercial mindset, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to create and scale new revenue streams within media, events, information services, or related industries.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute the overall commercial strategy for the portfolio.
  • Own revenue targets and commercial performance across multiple brands and business units.
  • Identify, develop, and launch new revenue-generating products, services, and business models.
  • Drive growth across advertising, sponsorship, events, conferences, awards, research products, subscriptions, lead generation, content marketing, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build long-term revenue plans aligned with market opportunities and audience demand.

Business Development

  • Identify new market opportunities, industry sectors, and customer segments for expansion.
  • Create strategic partnerships with government entities, industry associations, corporates, technology providers, and professional services firms.
  • Develop bespoke commercial solutions that deliver measurable value to clients.
  • Lead negotiations for major sponsorship, partnership, and licensing agreements.

Product & Innovation

  • Work closely with editorial, events, marketing, audience, and digital teams to develop innovative products and commercial offerings.
  • Lead the creation of new events, research reports, rankings, awards, executive forums, membership programmes, and information products.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, inspire and mentor commercial teams to achieve ambitious revenue objectives.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and client success.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, operations, events and senior management teams.

Client & Market Engagement

  • Serve as a senior ambassador for ITP Media Group and its brands.
  • Develop relationships with C-suite executives, government leaders, industry influencers, and key stakeholders across the region.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of sector-specific trends and client priorities.

Person Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in media, publishing, events, information services, B2B marketing, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and launching new commercial products.
  • Strong record of delivering against revenue targets.
  • Strong business development and strategic partnership experience.
  • Experience leading and mentoring multi-disciplinary commercial teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of B2B media, events, content marketing, and sponsorship models.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong analytical and financial management capabilities.

Preferred

  • Experience working across Middle East markets.
  • Existing network of senior corporate and government contacts.
  • Experience launching conferences, awards programmes, research products, memberships, or information services.
  • Knowledge of sectors including business leadership, legal, finance, energy, utilities, aviation, logistics, and technology.
