Your Role And Responsibilities

As government Relations & Emiratization Specialist , you lead ABB’s Emiratization initiatives and national talent programs, driving the company’s commitment to developing and empowering UAE Nationals. You are fully responsible for the design, execution, and continuous improvement of Emiratization programs, including the UAE National Internship Program (WEP) and the ABB Discovery Graduate Program.

In this role, you ensure compliance with national requirements, strengthen relationships with key stakeholders such as MOHRE, Nafis, and universities, and foster meaningful engagement

The work model for the role is: {onsite}

This role is contributing to the ELBA in {UAE}. Main stakeholders are {Internal Employees/ government authorities}.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Leading ABB’s Emiratization strategy, ensuring compliance with national goals, maintaining the Emiratization tracker, reporting monthly performance, and serving as the primary focal point with MOHRE and Nafis.
• Implement regulatory updates from MOHRE and ensuring alignment with evolving national requirements.
• Partnering with Talent Acquisition to manage the full lifecycle of UAE National Programs (WEP & ABB Discovery), including delivery, onboarding, evaluations, and mentor engagement, delivering learning experiences, CSR initiatives, and structured program assessments (mid‑term, rotation, final presentations).
• Supporting Talent Acquisition by building and maintaining university partnerships, supporting career fairs and events, and ensuring Emirati talent attraction through postings on Nafis and other platforms
• Driving National employee engagement through monthly sessions, one‑to‑one check‑ins, national events, development initiatives, and the UAE National Happiness Survey.
• Maintain strong relationships with government entities including MOHRE, Nafis, DED, Immigration, and Free Zone authorities as required.
  
  
  

Qualifications For The Role

• Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
• 0 – 2 years of experience in recruitment & Emiratization will be a plus
• Excellent computer skills - MS Office (mainly Excel & PowerPoint), MS Outlook
• Strong communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders
• Fluency in Arabic & English, (written and spoken)
• You hold current {UAE driving license} valid in {UAE}
