Head of S&OP (Global)


Job Purpose

The Head of S&OP & Planning (Global) is responsible for designing, implementing, and leading an end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning ecosystem across international markets. This role ensures the optimal balance between demand, supply, service levels, cost efficiency, and inventory management while building scalable planning processes that support business growth and operational excellence.


The position plays a critical role in connecting commercial demand signals with supply execution, enabling data-driven decision-making and improved product availability across global markets.


Key Responsibilities.

  • S&OP Framework Design & Implementation
  • Design and implement a standardized global S&OP process across multiple regions
  • Establish governance structures, meeting cadences, and decision-making framework
  • Align demand, supply, finance, and commercial planning processes
  • Drive adoption, consistency, and accountability across all markets.


Demand Planning

  • Lead the global demand planning framework in partnership with Sales and Marketing teams
  • Implement forecasting methodologies and tools to improve forecast accuracy and reduce bias
  • Consolidate demand signals from multiple markets into a unified demand plan
  • Monitor forecasting performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives


Supply & Production Planning

  • Standardize supply and production planning processes across manufacturing partners and co-packers
  • Align production plans with demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and lead times
  • Partner closely with Procurement and Technical teams to ensure material availability and production feasibility
  • Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans


Inventory Strategy & Control

  • Define global inventory policies, including safety stock and Days of Stock targets
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance service and working capital efficiency
  • Reduce write-offs and obsolete stock through improved lifecycle management and planning discipline
  • Improve inventory visibility and reporting across regions


Planning Systems & Digitalization

  • Lead the implementation and enhancement of planning systems, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Improve data visibility, automation, and forecasting capabilities
  • Ensure integration between ERP platforms and planning systems
  • Establish a single source of truth for planning KPIs and reporting


Operational Integration

  • Oversee planning and inventory coordination for proprietary manufacturing operations
  • Ensure timely supply to co-packers and regional operations
  • Align production activities with global demand requirements


Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Own and track planning KPIs including Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, OTIF, and Inventory
  • Establish reporting standards and performance review routines
  • Identify gaps and implement corrective actions
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational discipline across planning teams

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, or S&OP within FMCG, beverage, food, or related industries
  • Proven experience building or transforming S&OP functions in multi-market environments
  • Strong understanding of demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management
  • Experience working with co-packers or outsourced manufacturing models
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and performance management capabilities
  • Experience with ERP systems, planning tools, and reporting platform

  • Fluent English required
  • Russian is a strong advantage
  • Arabic or Turkish would be considered beneficial
