Job Title: Global Head - Core Schemes Management
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive Salary + Annual Bonus
Purpose of the role
Ensure BSI Assurance obtains and maintains accreditation / recognition for the core products, (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22301 and other Management System schemes) to support clients’ needs.
Ensure all Assurance personnel involved in Core Schemes are properly trained or coached to implement the global policies, and all applicable procedures and tools.
To ensure all compliance related activities in Core Schemes are managed in a timely manner to compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Standardize, digitize and simplify the way that we manage our Core Schemes
- Maintain up-to-date horizon scanning and communicate changes to the Senior Q&C leadership team.
- Establish and update manuals and related forms in line with Core Scheme requirements (e.g., regulatory changes, audit findings).
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the preparation of training across functions (sales, planners, auditors, reviewers, tutors, across Assurance (System Certification, ISA and Training)
- Work closely with the Head of Compliance and the Regional Q& C Directors to identify training needs and prepare training materials for assurance personnel following release or revision of scheme manuals, key changes or trends identified as part of the oversight activities
- Collaborate with the Assurance Academy team to keep Core Schemes training materials current.
- Provide direction for planning transitions or changes to scheme requirements.
- Participate in the internal and external audit of the Core Schemes
- Provide technical guidance/advice to the Regional / Country Quality & Compliance Team to finalize responses to any findings, complaints, and appeals raised by External Stakeholders
- Oversee the performance of Core KPIs and provide guidance/recommendations to enhance performance
- Communicate and coordinate scheme developments and changes with relevant regions.
- Support Regional/Country Q&C Management to implement global policies, procedures, and tools.
- Educate and train relevant personnel in Core Schemes-specific Q&C requirements.
- Collaborate with the global Q&C team to manage compliance activities (office audits, witness audits, closure of NCs).
- Work collaboratively with Regional / Country Operations Management to ensure all personnel involved in Core Schemes are properly trained or coached to implement relevant procedures and tools
- Provide technical interpretation to Technical & Compliance, Operations and Sales & Commercial functions and clients, if applicable
- Communicate and coordinate the scheme developments/changes to regions that may be offering the scheme
- Support the Regional/Country Quality & Compliance Management to ensure effective implementation of the global policies, procedures and tools in respective region / country
- Support regions/country/cluster Quality & Compliance management to educate and train relevant personnel about the Core Schemes specific Quality & Compliance related requirements
- Work collaboratively with the global Quality & Compliance team for managing compliance related activities, including office audits, witness audits and closure of nonconformities.
- Work collaboratively with the country and regional, Q&C managers, commercial and operations teams to provide guidance
- Work Collaboratively with the Global System Certification Director and Global Head of Assurance for Core Products to develop and implement other schemes related to core products as per the Business Strategy and Direction
- Support Global Technical Director to organize and deliver Core related Quality & Compliance calibration meetings regionally or globally country or region calibration sessions
- Collate compliance and operational performance data for Core Schemes to support global management review.
- Ensure scheme-specific database management is performed in line with Core Scheme requirements.
- Communicate with the Global Impartiality Stakeholders Network (GISN) to ensure impartiality processes are implemented effectively.
- Maintain professional relationship with respective Accreditation / Recognition Bodies and oversee all Quality & Compliance relevant to the Core Scheme Globally
- Escalate and report any Quality & Compliance concerns to relevant Regional Quality & Compliance Director and the Global Technical Director within 24 hours
- Cary out other responsibilities as specified from time to time
