Geographic Information Systems GIS Specialist

Job Description

Job Purpose:

To prepare studies and research related to the design, development, and continuous enhancement of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications. The role supports GIS data management, land management projects, and related geospatial initiatives in alignment with strategic plans.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare periodic reports supported by data and statistics.
• Provide technical advice to management, departments, and external entities.
• Prepare GIS project documentation, tenders, cost estimates, and payment certifications.
• Supervise and manage GIS data from aerial imagery and multiple data sources.
• Monitor geospatial data updates and improvements.
• Train and develop staff in GIS best practices.
• Prepare technical progress and performance reports.
• Represent the entity in conferences and seminars.
• Ensure compliance with information security policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
