As our operations continue to expand, the UAE is increasingly becoming the central hub for finance and accounting activities.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable GL Accountant to join our Dubai-based finance team. This role will support the accounting activities of our Swiss and UAE entities and contribute to group reporting and consolidation processes.

The GL Accountant will play an important role in ensuring accurate day-to-day accounting, timely month-end closings, and high-quality financial data. The role reports to the Finance Director and works closely with the Finance Manager in the UAE, as well as the wider finance team.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Execute day-to-day general ledger accounting for the Swiss and UAE entities, ensuring transactions are accurately reco
• rded.Prepare journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reclassifications under supervision and in line with established proced
• ures.Perform balance sheet and selected P&L reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely ma
• nner.Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring deadlines and internal controls are
• met.Assist in group consolidation activities, including intercompany reconciliations and elimination sup
• port.Support intercompany accounting processes, including reconciliation and follow-up on balances between enti
• ties.Prepare accounting data and reconciliations to support VAT and tax filings for Swiss and UAE entities in coordination with advi
• sors.Ensure accounting records comply with IFRS, local regulations, and internal poli
• cies.Assist with external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor que
• ries.Prepare standard financial reports and support basic analysis of balance sheet and P&L movem
• ents.Maintain clear and up-to-date accounting documentation and working pa
• pers.Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements within the finance func
• tion.Provide ad hoc support to the Finance Manager and Finance Director on accounting and reporting topics as ne
