Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel, and will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely reconciliations, and efficient accounting operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Full Cycle Accounting:

  • Manage the full cycle of accounting, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end close.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (or local standards).

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.

Reconciliations & Reporting:

  • Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.

  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Excel & Data Analysis:

  • Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF statements, INDEX-MATCH, data validation, conditional formatting) for financial analysis and reporting.

  • Create and maintain financial models and templates.

  • Analyze large data sets to support business decision-making.

Compliance & Audits:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.

Systems & Tools:

  • Enter and manage financial data in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Xero).

  • Use MS Office tools, primarily Excel, for financial documentation, analysis, and reporting.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, Xero, NetSuite).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.


Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • CPA or progress toward CPA designation is a plus.

  • Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., manufacturing, non-profit, retail].

  • Knowledge of [specific tools if applicable, like Power BI, ERP systems, etc.].
