We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated General Accountant to join our growing finance team. The candidate will play an integral role in maintaining our financial records, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and supporting the financial stability of our organization. The General Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports, conducting internal audits, and ensuring accuracy in all financial operations. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions adhere to GAAP and company regulations.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to identify discrepancies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal accounting policies.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management review.
  • Review and process expense reports and reimbursements adhering to corporate policy.
  • Maintain and update accounting systems ensuring efficient and effective account management.
  • Participate in departmental meetings offering accounting expertise and financial insights.
  • Coordinate with other departments to align financial management with operational strategies.
  • Provide support for tax compliance and preparation activities as required.
  • Contribute to the automation and streamlining of financial processes for enhanced efficiency.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles required.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and experience in preparing financial statements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in conducting financial audits and internal controls implementation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • CPA certification is a plus but not a mandatory requirement.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new software and accounting technologies.
