The Museum of the Future is looking for Future Perfects to join its Visitor Experience team.
What is a Future Perfect?
It is not an ordinary customer service role. And it is not an acting role.
Future Perfects are the human face of the Museum experience.
You will welcome people from around the world, discover what interests them, help them engage with extraordinary ideas and make the future feel personal, relevant and possible.
You will not be expected to memorise long scripts or repeat the same explanation hundreds of times.
Instead, we are looking for people who can listen, think, connect and respond.
People who can take a conversation about food and connect it to the future of how we live.
A conversation about someone's daily commute and turn it into a discussion about future cities.
A child's question about a robot and turn it into curiosity about how humans and machines might create together.
Your personality, experiences, interests and curiosity are not something you leave at the door.
They are essential to what makes the experience work.
As a Future Perfect, you will:
The strongest Future Perfects bring their unique humanity into every interaction.
As a guiding principle, most conversations should extend naturally from your personality, knowledge, lived experiences and interests.
The objective is not theatrical performance.
It is to make each encounter feel:
Visitors should feel they met someone they can relate to, who happens to be working on something extraordinary.
We are looking for people who are naturally:
We are particularly interested in people who are fascinated by subjects such as:
technology, community, science, sustainability, space, design, culture, food, music, education, nature, creativity, health and the future of humanity.
You do not need to be an expert.
You need to be interested enough to keep learning.
A Future Perfect can move between several roles in the same conversation.
Sometimes a guide, helping them understand where they are and what they can do.
Sometimes a storyteller, helping an extraordinary idea feel real.
Sometimes a conversation partner, listening, asking questions and exploring possibilities together.
And sometimes a problem-solver, helping when something doesn't go according to plan.
The ability to recognise what a visitor needs—and shift naturally between these roles—is central to the job.
You don't begin by explaining everything you know.
You begin by connecting.
You ask questions.
You listen.
You make complicated things simple without making them simplistic.
You recognise when someone wants more information and when they simply want to explore.
You make a five-year-old, a scientist, a tourist and a CEO all feel equally welcome and important to the experience.
You are comfortable saying, “I don't know—let's find out,” rather than inventing an answer.
You understand that people remember what they felt and did more than everything they were told.
And after speaking with you, a visitor should feel a little more curious, a little more hopeful and a little more convinced that they have a role in shaping what comes next.
Museum of the Future’s new experience is built around six principles:
Optimism — What else is possible?
Fascination — Ideas can come from anywhere.
Courage — Act even when every answer is not yet known.
Collaboration — The future belongs to everyone.
Creativity — Imagine possibilities that do not exist yet.
Compassion — Never forget who the future is for.
We are looking for people who naturally demonstrate these qualities—not people who have memorised their definitions.
To apply, you must:
Applicants who speak two or more languages are strongly encouraged to apply.
Previous museum or customer-service experience is not essential.
Your ability to connect with people, communicate naturally, think on your feet and remain curious matters more.
Becoming a Future Perfect will involve more than a traditional job interview.
Because this role is about how you think, communicate and connect with people, candidates will move through a multi-stage audition process:
Application → Shortlist → Live Shortlist Assessments → Final Selection
Shortlisted candidates are invited to a special group screening at Museum of the Future.
Successful candidates will be offered a position as a Future Perfect at Museum of the Future.
