Functional AI Architect

The Digital Workplace team at delaware is looking for a functional enterprise architect who sees the bigger picture. Someone who does not just take requirements, but challenges them. You will be the strategic counterweight to our technical lead: if they ask "can we build it?", you ask "should we build it?" and "does it fit?"

We are the Digital Workplace team at delaware. We leverage the power of new technologies to help customers realize an employee-centric work transformation. Our mission? To help businesses optimize their processes and become more efficient, agile and competitive. We design, deliver, implement and support solutions within the Microsoft 365 technology stack, including Microsoft Copilot, but also other services like SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Planner, Power Platform, and increasingly: custom AI agents and intelligent automation.

What will you be doing?

• Analyze how AI solutions fit (or don’t fit) within client enterprise architectures and operating models.
• Conduct workshops to understand the real problem before anyone starts building.
• Challenge requirements: when a client asks for X, determine whether X is actually what they need.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications that technical teams can execute.
• Manage product backlogs and delivery priorities when embedded in project teams.
• Facilitate alignment between IT, business stakeholders, and C‑level decision makers.
• Identify where AI adds value—and where it does not (saying “no” is part of the job).
• Share knowledge with colleagues in communities and team meetings.

Is there a match?

• Must-have: 5+ years of experience in functional analysis, business architecture, or enterprise architecture within B2B contexts.
• Experience navigating complex stakeholder landscapes (IT, business, and C‑level).
• Ability to think in systems, not features—you understand how pieces connect.
• Strong communication skills.
• Formal Product Owner experience (Scrum, SAFe).
• Exposure to AI or automation projects.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English is important.
