Full Stack Engineer

Position: Full-Stack Engineer

Hoxton Wealth is a leading global wealth management firm, delivering financial solutions to international investors and expatriates across regulated jurisdictions.

We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to build and evolve user-facing applications and backend services that support our core business platforms. This role is suited to a versatile engineer with strong backend experience in Python, PHP, and Node.js, and the ability to work across the full application stack.

You will play a key role in delivering end-to-end features, from backend APIs and business logic through to responsive, user-friendly interfaces. The role requires a pragmatic engineering mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to operate in a regulated environment where reliability, security, and maintainability are critical.

You will work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and platform teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready software.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications covering frontend, backend services, and integrations.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Python, PHP, and Node.js.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces that integrate cleanly with backend APIs.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into well-structured technical solutions.
• Implement secure, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering standards.
• Integrate applications with internal services, third-party systems, and APIs.
• Participate in code reviews, contributing to shared standards and continuous improvement.
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure reliability and prevent regressions.
• Work with DevOps and DevSecOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and production monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across the stack in development and production environments.
• Contribute to technical documentation, including API docs and system design notes.
• Support compliance and audit requirements by ensuring systems are well-documented and traceable.
  
  
  

• 3–6 years of experience as a full-stack or backend-leaning engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, PHP, and Node.js in production environments.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Working knowledge of frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks or libraries.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and basic data modelling concepts.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and common web security considerations.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience working in regulated environments such as financial services, fintech, or similar industries is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to delivering maintainable solutions.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
