FSI-JB-624 MEP Coordinator

An MEP Coordinator is responsible for coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services with architectural and structural disciplines to ensure smooth execution of construction projects. The role involves reviewing drawings, identifying clashes, resolving site coordination issues, and ensuring all MEP installations comply with project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and other MEP services with architectural and structural drawings.
  

• Review MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and builders work drawings.
  

• Identify and resolve clashes between MEP systems and other building services.
  

• Prepare and review coordinated drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
  

• Conduct clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or other BIM coordination tools.
  

• Liaise with design engineers, consultants, contractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
  

• Ensure proper routing and installation of ducts, pipes, cable trays, and other MEP services.
  

• Attend coordination meetings and follow up on technical comments and site requirements.
  

• Review site conditions and ensure installations follow approved drawings and project specifications.
  

• Coordinate drawing revisions and prepare as-built drawings when required.
  

• Monitor MEP work progress and support the site team in resolving installation conflicts.
  

• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety requirements, and project standards.
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  

• Experience in MEP coordination for commercial buildings, residential towers, or high-rise construction projects.
  

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP; knowledge of Navisworks is an advantage.
  

• Good understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
  

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
  

• Knowledge of UAE construction standards and authority requirements is preferred.
