A Front Desk Representative plays a crucial role in the hospitality industry by being the first point of contact for guests and clients. Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet guests and visitors with a friendly and helpful attitude.
  • Manage check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring all protocols are followed.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately and promptly.
  • Provide accurate information regarding the company, services, and local attractions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to uphold company standards.
  • Assist guests with special requests, such as transportation and restaurant reservations.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate billing information and records.
  • Monitor and respond to emails and written correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet guest needs and resolve issues quickly.
  • Manage inventory of front desk supplies and update management when stock is low.
  • Train and oversee junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Front Desk Representative or similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Strong multitasking and time management abilities with urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using office software and reservation systems is required.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and a customer-oriented mindset are necessary.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
