Job Description

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, playing a vital role in creating a welcoming and friendly environment. Your duties will involve managing the check-in and check-out process, answering questions, and coordinating with various departments to fulfill guest requests. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential as you will be required to liaise between the guests and the hotel’s internal teams to ensure a seamless guest experience. Your ability to handle multiple tasks with a smile will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of the front desk, ultimately enhancing our guests' stay at the hotel.


Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Efficiently manage the check-in and check-out process for guests.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address guest needs.
  • Ensure all guest information is accurately entered into the system.
  • Provide information on local attractions and hotel amenities to guests.
  • Manage reservations and bookings through phone and online systems.
  • Assist guests with transportation and local directions as needed.
  • Monitor front desk operations and report any issues to management.
  • Maintain a tidy and welcoming desk area for guests and staff.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing and mail handling as required.
  • Support other departments in the hotel as necessary for guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional communication skills in both verbal and written English.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with office machines like computers, printers, and phones.
  • Proficient in using hotel management and booking software systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
