Job Description

The Front Desk Agent plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless experience for guests at our establishment. As the first point of contact for guests, the Front Desk Agent is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing reservations, and facilitating a welcoming atmosphere. With a strong emphasis on communication and organization, the Front Desk Agent efficiently handles inquiries, resolves issues, and works collaboratively with the team to enhance the guest experience. This role requires a proactive approach to guest service, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a keen attention to detail. By maintaining a positive attitude and a professional demeanor, the Front Desk Agent contributes to the overall success and reputation of the establishment.


Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor upon arrival.
  • Efficiently check guests in and out using property management systems.
  • Answer and manage phone calls and emails regarding reservations and inquiries.
  • Provide accurate information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Handle guest complaints and issues with a resolution-oriented approach promptly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of room availability and guest accounts.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to address guest requests and concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel security and safety protocols at all times.
  • Assist in managing guest reservations, modifications, and cancellations as needed.
  • Process payments, handle cash, and maintain accurate billing records.
  • Stay informed about local events and marketing promotions affecting capacity.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service during shift changes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in using reservation systems and computer applications is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a bustling environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
