Job Purpose

A World leader in air cargo. We possess a geographical advantage that enables us to reach over 140 destinations across 6 continents. Our SkyCargo group works in partnership to facilitate global trade and connect customers with their destinations. We have a young, efficient, wide-bodied fleet, with ample capacity to transport cargo through our state-of-the-art, multi-airport hub in Dubai and adapt to our customers ever-changing needs.

The Freighter Scheduling Manager will schedule both short term and long term to optimise aircraft utilisation while taking into consideration commercial requirements, slot constraints at Level 2 and 3 airports, maintenance, crewing requirements and other factors that impact freighter operations. Devise annual operating plans for the freighter network ensuring optimal commercial returns, quality standards and capacity utilization at minimal cost, thereby optimizing profitability of the freighter operations.

The hub development should consider infrastructure limitations at DWC airport and be scalable to induct future fleet additions.

This must consider EK?s own operations, as well as, out-station based maintenance requirements of wet lease providers.
  • Ensure all freighter specific requirements are incorporated into the AirVision Sabre Scheduling system by liaising with Manager Cargo Scheduling and Planning and IT so that optimal efficiencies are achieved through the scheduling and slot management systems.
  • Integrate the freighter schedule planning system to generate SSIM files which can be automated with other key systems such as SkyChain, CORE, LIDO, POWER, RPS and other systems being developed so that freighter operating plans are quickly and effectively implemented into these systems. Work with IT and other sections/departments to ensure operating plan related systems are developed and implemented in an efficient manner including changes to plans. Continuously monitor and enhance automated freighter schedule dissemination to other internal systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external departments/organisations to ensure that necessary operating permits and approvals are obtained and/or renewed for scheduled and ad-hoc freight operations, disseminating the information to internal and external departments to facilitate operation of the requisite flights.
  • Liaise with Crewing department to ensure all crew related complexities are analysed for cost effective solutions and ensure scheduled and ad-hoc flights are adequately crewed so flight schedule integrity is maintained.
