Forklift Operator 14J25

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other machinery used for material handling activities accurately.
• Safely maneuver products within the warehouse to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
• Inspect machinery daily before usage to assure safety standards are met.
• Load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to optimize workflow and reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of materials transported and stored within the warehouse.
• Assist in inventory counts and reporting discrepancies to management promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal guidelines related to forklift operation.
• Report any malfunctions or need for repairs in a timely manner.
• Proactively participate in training and certification processes to enhance skill sets.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to avoid injuries and accidents.
• Support other warehouse functions such as packing, sorting, and labeling as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a forklift operator for at least 2 years is required.
• Possession of a valid certification or license for forklift operation is essential.
• High school diploma or equivalent education is preferred for this role.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
• Excellent coordination and spatial awareness capabilities for navigating tight spaces.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items repeatedly without assistance.
• Ability to work in a variety of environments, including both indoor and outdoor settings.
• Must be an excellent team player with outstanding communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
• Ability to operate basic computing equipment for inventory tracking and reporting.
