Key Responsibilities

The Forensic and Delay Analysis Engineer is responsible for investigating project delays, analyzing root causes, and preparing substantiated claims and extension of time (EOT) submissions. This role plays a key part in resolving time-related disputes and supporting legal or contractual processes on complex construction projects.

  • Forensic Analysis & Delay Assessment
  • Responsible for reviewing extension of impact on complex change requests and claims and where necessary prepare forensic planning and delay/disruption analysis to determine the cause and effect of specific events.
  • Conduct forensic delay analysis using industry-standard methodologies.
  • Data Collection & Documentation
  • Collect records, schedules, daily reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence to establish cause-effect relationships.
  • Prepare detailed delay and disruption reports, including narratives and substantiating documents.
  • Claims & Dispute Support
  • Support preparation and defense of EOT claims and variations in accordance with contract conditions.
  • Work with project teams, which include planners, contracts and technical team, to pull together the correct information in preparation of claims/counter claims.
  • Experience with claims consultants and exposure to formal dispute proceedings is preferred.
  • Assist and advise the management of known current and future potential claims and disputes.
  • Communication & Presentation
  • Ability to present complex findings clearly to Management, clients, and consultants.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • BSc Degree in engineering, PMP certification is preferred
  • 8-12 years in depth experience in delay analysis methodologies and application, handled large scale projects.
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to present complex findings clearly.
  • Training or experience in contract law or construction claims is preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management software, Primavera P6 and advanced Excel, (Power BI preferred).
  • Proficiency in English language (writing and speaking)
