Job Description

The Food and Beverage Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of dining establishments, including restaurants, bars, and catering services. This position involves managing and leading a team of culinary and service staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities may include creating menus, managing inventory and budgets, collaborating with chefs to develop new dishes, and implementing sanitation regulations. The Food and Beverage Manager also interacts with suppliers, handles customer inquiries and complaints, and analyzes sales data to optimize revenue and profitability. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this dynamic and fast-paced role.


  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales and revenue targets for the food and beverage department.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage outlets, including dining areas, kitchens, bars, and room service.
  • Manage food and beverage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure adequate supply levels and cost effectiveness.
  • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise food and beverage staff, including servers, cooks, bartenders, and other team members.
  • Monitor and evaluate customer feedback to maintain high levels of satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations in all food and beverage areas.
  • Develop and update menu offerings based on market trends, customer preferences, and budget considerations.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotions and events to drive food and beverage sales.
  • Maintain financial records, budgets, and profit margins for the food and beverage department.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve food and beverage operations.


  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations effectively.
