Job Summary
The Fleet Sales Manager fulfils responsibilities primarily through effective personnel management, strong knowledge of market potential, and adherence to established performance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and control the day-to-day operation to ensure sales promotion, achievement of targets, and delivery of quality results leading to a profitable operation.
- Participate in the preparation of the forecast and Annual Business Plan by projecting unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profits for the Fleet Sales Department.
- Formulate the business strategy for Fleet Sales and translate it into short-term and long-term action plans.
- Set objectives and targets for the fleet sales team in alignment with the company’s goals and achievement budgets.
- Review the product line in relation to market demand and competitors’ offerings; identify product strengths and weaknesses and develop new markets.
- Assist in the budget planning process and regularly monitor departmental expenditure.
- Plan manpower requirements and ensure appropriate staffing levels for Fleet Sales, including leave planning and workforce forecasting.
- Supervise the performance of all reporting staff, prepare annual performance reports, and make recommendations for development, promotions, or transfers. Provide counseling to address staff grievances.
- Study local market conditions, demographics, and past sales history to identify trends and opportunities.
- Ensure that the Fleet Sales team understands dealership policies, procedures, and sales systems.
- Evaluate current fleet sales processes and identify improvements by developing new sales strategies and action plans.
- Devise and implement market penetration plans to expand business reach.
- Identify selling strategies and opportunities to increase revenue.
Requirements(suggested to include, if you’d like)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in fleet sales management within the automotive industry.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of market dynamics and competitor landscape.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
