Fleet Performance Application Specialist

Job Purpose:

The Fleet Performance Application Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing business applications used across Bahri Ship Management. The role involves handling user requests, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with vendors, performing UAT, and ensuring application availability and performance.

Key Accountabilities:

Analysis & Feasibility

• Analyze new business requirements and translate them into application solutions.
• Design, configure, test, and deploy application changes or enhancements.
• Conduct feasibility studies to ensure proposed solutions and upgrades are practical and aligned with business needs.
• Communicate application updates and changes clearly to end users.

Application Support & Maintenance

• Provide Level 2/3 support for business applications.
• Troubleshoot functional and technical issues.
• Monitor system performance and application availability.
• Document incidents and service requests in ITSM tools.

User Management & Training

• Assist users with application usage and provide training.
• Prepare user guides and knowledge base articles.
• Conduct onboarding training for new users.

Enhancements & Requirements Gathering

• Gather requirements for enhancements or new features.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications.
• Coordinate configuration or customization activities.

Testing & Deployment

• Prepare and execute test cases for UAT.
• Support deployment of patches and upgrades.
• Ensure all changes follow change management processes.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain updated SOPs and system documentation.
• Ensure applications comply with security policies.
• Support audit requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience for application development and maintenance experience.
• Expert in common programming languages like VB.net, HTML, C++, ASP.net, all SQL., C#, Angular, Dot Net Core, Azure Devops, SSRS, Azure Git, Windows Services, REST API, Logging Frameworks.etc or equivalent is required.
