Tucked away within a lush polo estate in Dubai, Meliá Desert Palm is a luxury urban resort where wellness, personalised service and meaningful experiences come together. We are currently looking for a passionate and energetic Fitness Instructor to join our Recreation & Wellness team.

This role goes beyond the gym floor - we are looking for someone who can create genuine guest connections, deliver engaging wellness experiences and contribute to the overall lifestyle atmosphere of the resort. The ideal candidate is motivated, guest-focused, confident in leading fitness activities and committed to maintaining high service standards within a luxury hospitality environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certified Gym/Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer qualification
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Computer literate
• Strong focus on guest satisfaction and service excellence
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver professional fitness instruction and personalised guest experiences within the Fitness Centre
• Conduct gym orientations and ensure safe usage of all equipment
• Support wellness programs, fitness initiatives and member engagement activities
• Promote fitness memberships, wellness services and recreational experiences where appropriate
• Maintain strong knowledge of all wellness and fitness services offered at the resort
• Ensure all required guest medical and consent forms are completed
• Handle guest feedback professionally and communicate any concerns to management
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness, safety and operational standards within the Fitness Centre
• Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance requirements promptly
• Assist with administrative and operational tasks as required by the Recreation Manager
• Support onboarding and training of new team members within the department
• Coordinate closely with Sales & Marketing teams on wellness-related activities and promotions when needed
• Assist with the smooth day-to-day operation of the Recreation & Wellness facilities in the absence of management
• Conduct competitor awareness and market observations to support continuous improvement
• Attend all required meetings, trainings and departmental briefings
• Support sustainability initiatives and company policies at all times
• Carry out any additional reasonable duties assigned by management in line with operational requirements
