Job Description

The Financial Controlling Manager in our Retail division will take on a pivotal role in overseeing and directing all financial controlling functions. The primary responsibility will be to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. As a strategic partner, this role will work closely with the finance team to develop budgets, forecasts, and analyses that support decision-making processes. The Financial Controlling Manager will also be tasked with optimizing financial performance by implementing effective controls and financial planning measures. This position requires a blend of technical expertise in financial management and a thorough understanding of the retail industry dynamics, making it critical to the company's success.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations within the company.
  • Develop and implement robust financial strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting by compliance standards.
  • Coordinate the preparation and execution of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls across financial processes.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Lead the financial audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
  • Manage and mentor a team of financial analysts and accountants.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, accounting, and financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to drive cost reduction initiatives.
  • Continuously evaluate the financial performance of the retail units.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controlling Manager or equivalent position.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential components.
  • Experience in the retail industry will be considered a decisive advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • A professional certification such as CPA or CFA is highly desirable.
