Financial Controller

The Financial Controller will be a visible, hands-on contributor, leading the finance team and helping the organization grow stronger, smarter, and faster. This is more than a traditional FC role – we see finance as a part of the frontline, integrated across the business. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting, management reporting, and compliance, all while maintaining the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership abilities, a “Why” attitude, and a commitment to accuracy & continuous improvement.

In this position, you will lead the controllership function and oversee the finance team. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and timely financial information to support informed decision-making.

About Things, You’ll Be Working On:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with IFRS/GAAP and company policies.
• Continuous Department Improvement: Evolve & improve processes & policies for day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
• Audit & Compliance: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualification & Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in Finance
• Professional qualification in Accounting & Finance (CA/ACCA/CPA preferred)
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Manager, or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

Key competencies:

Mandatory

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP Accounting Software.
• Accounting qualification.

Bonus

• Experience with international operations and multi-currency environments.
• Experience with Hyperion/EPM.
• Familiarity with Business Central.
• Background in tech or fintech industries.
