MedNet’s Finance department safeguards and manages the organization’s financial integrity and sustainability. Its core functions encompass strategic financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, performance management, treasury and capital management, accounting and financial reporting, procurement and accounts payable, credit management, and corporate tax compliance. The department ensures the prudent allocation of resources, effective risk management, and the ongoing financial stability and growth of the organization. Operating as a shared services centre for all legal entities and business units, the finance team comprises over 20 professionals.

The Financial Controller is responsible for the integrity of the company’s financial records, timely financial close, and accurate internal and external reporting. Reporting to the CFO, the role ensures strong financial governance, robust internal controls, statutory compliance, and high-quality financial information to support management decision-making. Key duties and responsibilities include:

Job Profile:

  • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Oversee preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS, Munich Re Group accounting policies and standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Ensure integrity of general ledger, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
  • Coordinate and manage external audits and statutory reporting requirements
  • Monitor balance sheet integrity, working capital, and financial reporting risks
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes from a technical accounting and consolidation perspective
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and financial reporting obligations
  • Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, systems, and reporting automation
  • Supervise and develop the accounting and reporting team


Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent) strongly preferred
  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, healthcare, or regulated environments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements
  • Experience managing financial close and consolidation processes
  • Solid understanding of internal controls and audit processes
  • Experience coordinating with external auditors and regulatory authorities
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and regulated environment
  • Experience in the Middle East region preferred
