This role involves:

  • Responsibility to manage and execute the monthly and annual financial closing processes, ensuring the timely and accurate generation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
  • Leading financial audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and internal controls.
  • Manage the procedures, process controls and policies with regards to finances.
  • Overseeing the Payroll Accountant and approve the payroll, commission etc.
  • Overseeing reconciliation of all payroll-related transactions, including allowances, expenses, end-of-service benefits.
  • Conducting a rigorous monthly review of all Balance Sheet reconciliations, with a primary focus on the accuracy and integrity.
  • Overseeing the Accounts Payable (AP) function and review the procurement-to-pay cycle to ensure proper authorization, segregation of duties and efficient vendor payment processing.
  • Supervising and developing the AP, Payroll & Treasury and Procurement team, setting clear objectives and performance standards for direct reports.
  • Act as a primary contact and key liaison for all internal and external audits, ensuring timely provision of information and swift resolution of audit queries.


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • Accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIM​A, CMA).


Core Proficiencies & Experience:

  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in similar role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, financial modeling).
  • Experience working with major Accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Experience working with a major ERP system (e.g., Microsoft Business Central). 
  • Previous experience in the UAE, preferably in the event industry. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Impeccable organizational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
