Job Description

The Financial Controller plays a critical role within an organization, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial management and reporting. This position calls for an experienced and meticulous professional who can oversee the financial operations, manage budgets, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. As a financial steward of the organization, the Financial Controller is instrumental in supporting strategic financial planning and decision-making processes. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent leadership abilities, and the capacity to identify and address financial risks and opportunities. This role requires collaboration with various departments to ensure financial objectives align with corporate goals, and demands a proactive approach to developing efficient financial systems and processes.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the company's accounting department and financial transactions.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to mitigate financial risks.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop, manage, and forecast budgets.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supervise audits and coordinate audit processes with external auditors.
  • Monitor and report on cash flow, investment movements, and capital expenditures.
  • Provide strategic financial recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions and resolve any related issues.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial data and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals to optimize performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proven experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in financial analysis.
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience managing finance teams effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills to present financial information clearly to stakeholders.
