Job Description

A Financial Controller plays a crucial role in the financial stewardship of an organization. They are primarily responsible for overseeing the financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining the integrity of the company's financial systems. Working closely with senior management, the Financial Controller provides insights and data that drive strategic decisions. They manage financial risks, develop budgets, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. By implementing and monitoring control systems, they safeguard company assets and optimize financial performance. Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for management review purposes.
  • Develop and manage the company's annual budget process and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Implement financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate auditing processes and act as a liaison with external auditors.
  • Assess and manage financial risks to enhance business decision-making processes.
  • Evaluate the company's financial performance against forecasts and strategic objectives.
  • Manage the finance team, providing guidance and ensuring professional development.
  • Implement new financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Review financial data and prepare management reports for senior executives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial objectives with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or similar roles.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar professional certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
  • Proficient in financial software and tools such as ERP systems and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage teams effectively.
  • Proven track record of strategic financial planning and risk management skills.
