Responsibilities

Our client is one of Queenslands largest privately owned Mining companies. Due to growth, they are now looking for a Financial Accountant to join their growing team. Reporting to/being mentored by the Financial Controller, this is a varied role between Financial and Management Accounting and your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly and year end financial reports
• Journals
• Accruals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Taxation compliance
• Maintain fixed assets registers
• Monthly stakeholder reporting
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
• Business process improvements
  
  

Ideally you will be CA/CPA qualified or studying towards, have a minimum 4 years accounting experience, mining experience an advantage but also happy to look at first movers out of chartered (Big 4 Audit ideal). This is a great opportunity to get into the mining industry, working in a large finance team and the opportunity to progress your accounting career.
