The role of a Finance Officer in the hospitality sector is both challenging and rewarding, playing a crucial role in managing the financial operations of a hotel, resort, or other hospitality establishment. As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization. Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits and ensure accuracy of financial information and procedures.
  • Collaborate with department heads to review and optimize financial performance.
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts, and all financial transactions to avoid discrepancies.
  • Manage and supervise finance team members, providing guidance and training.
  • Perform risk management analysis to mitigate financial risks in the business.
  • Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and clients to align with financial goals.
  • Oversee tax and other regulatory submissions to adhere to legal requirements.
  • Prepare detailed variance analysis reports for upper management review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is mandatory.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in financial management, preferably in hospitality.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting procedures, and best practices.
  • Proficient with financial software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to work with complex financial data sets.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing finance teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
