Job Description
The Finance Manager– Commercial / RGM acts as a strategic finance advisor to Sales and Marketing functions, driving profitable growth through commercial analysis, pricing optimization, and revenue management. The role focuses on enhancing business performance through data-driven insights across pricing, promotions, trade investments, and product profitability. It requires strong analytical and collaboration skills to support decision-making, ensure financial control, and drive efficiency across Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, and Key Accounts.
Tactical
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to deliver financial insights that support growth, profitability, and trade investment optimization.
- Lead Revenue Growth Management (RGM) initiatives, including pricing strategy, pack-price architecture, and promotional effectiveness analysis.
- Support annual business planning, target setting, and performance tracking from a financial perspective.
- Provide recommendations to improve trade spend efficiency and enhance return on investment.
Operational (Core)
Conduct Detailed Promotion Analysis, Including
- Discount depth vs. frequency assessment
- Net profit impact vs. revenue growth and investment return
- Review and post PPA journals in coordination with Finance and Commercial teams.
- Perform pricing and margin analysis to ensure price positioning aligns with profitability targets.
- Carry out sales analysis (sell-in / sell-out) on a daily or weekly basis using EPOS and market data.
- Monitor NPD (New Product Development) launches, tracking offtake performance, pricing consistency, and post-launch profitability.
- Support BDA (Business Development Agreement) assessment and validation from a finance perspective
- Coordinate with Sales teams to consolidate and validate market data, forecasts, and performance reports.
- Provide regular dashboards and performance insights to management, highlighting risks, trends, and opportunities
Operational (General)
- Support forecasting and monthly closing by reviewing trade spend accruals, claims, and adjustments.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of commercial data in financial systems.
- Participate in process improvements and automation of reporting tools for sales and trade data.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA) preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in commercial finance or business partnering within the Food & Beverage or FMCG sector.
- Proven expertise in Revenue Growth Management, trade spend analytics, and pricing strategy.
- Strong experience in data analysis, forecasting, and ERP/reporting tools (SAP, Power BI, or similar).
- Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
