Finance FPandA Intern

Job Purpose

To support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in key financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance reporting. The intern will gain hands-on experience by assisting with the analysis of financial data and the preparation of insights that support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasting cycles.
• Support the development and maintenance of financial models to analyze business performance and trends.
• Help prepare variance analysis reports, comparing actual financial results to budgets and forecasts, and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist in creating management reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate financial results and insights to stakeholders.
• Support the month-end closing process by assisting with data validation and reporting tasks.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and research projects as requested by the FP&A team.
• Help identify opportunities to improve and automate financial reporting and modeling processes.
• Collaborate with members of the finance and accounting teams to gather necessary information for analysis.
  
  

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business field.
• Prior internship experience in a finance or accounting role is a plus but not required.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas) is required.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
