Finance Director

Bamboo Card is a fast-growing e-gift card distribution platform connecting global brands, marketplaces, and digital wallets. We empower clients to offer seamless digital gifting experiences across multiple categories from gaming and entertainment to lifestyle and retail. 

We’re scaling fast, and we are looking for a tech-forward Finance Director to lead a complete transformation - tearing down slow, manual processes, implementing a modern ERP tech stack, and building a lean, automated finance org that can seamlessly support our high-velocity API transaction volumes. Finance Transformation & Automation 

• Run a top-to-bottom audit of our current workflows, tools, and output quality. Design a modern target operating model that replaces repetitive manual tasks with intelligent workflows.
• Select, deploy, and embed the right modern ERP and finance automation tools suited for a high-transaction digital platform.
• Crush our month-end close cycle down to under 5 business days within your first year.
• Build self-serve financial reporting dashboards so the CEO and commercial leaders can own their metrics without waiting on finance.

Commercial Finance & Strategic FP&A

• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and agile reforecasting.
• Deep-dive into financial models built for platform economics: transaction margins per brand, API revenue contribution, cohort profitability, and working capital dynamics.
• Monitor and report on the KPIs that actually drive our growth: gross margin by product/region, transaction velocity, client acquisition costs (CAC), and revenue concentration risks.

Accounting, Controls & UAE Compliance

• Ensure accurate statutory reporting in full compliance with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT, and free zone/mainland requirements. Manage relationships with external auditors and local banks.
• Design a robust internal controls framework, paying ruthless attention to prepaid product float management, FX exposure, and multi-currency treasury reconciliation.
• Ensure our financial infrastructure cleanly supports an API-driven, high-volume environment with crystal-clear digital audit trails.

The Baseline

• CPA, ACCA, CMA, or an MBA in Finance is essential, paired with a relevant degree.
• 10–15 years in finance, with at least 4 years steering the ship in a senior leadership role.
• Youve operated in the 50–200 employee sweet spot and thrive in a lean, fast-paced culture.

Your Playbook

• You have a proven track record of building systems, not just managing them. Your first instinct when a process is slow is to automate it, not hire more headcount
• You have deep experience in a high-transaction digital business (payments, fintech, e-commerce, digital distribution, or SaaS) and intuitively understand API revenue streams.
• You know the UAE banking and tax landscape inside and out (VAT, Corporate Tax, local regulatory environments).
• You have hands-on experience implementing modern software across ERPs, AP/AR automation, close software and BI tools. Excel is your baseline, but you hate using it as a database.
