Our finance department at Emirates Group is responsible for acquiring and managing financial resources to generate profit. The team is pivotal in providing relevant financial information contributing to the productivity of our business functions, planning, and decision-making activities.

As a Finance Data Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the collection, management, and analysis of data across Group Services. This role will lead efforts to turn data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. The role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data governance frameworks and ensure data integrity and compliance.

In This Role, You Will

  • Enforce data governance frameworks and policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Oversee data stewardship practices, including data classification, metadata management and data lineage tracking.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Data & Analytics and IT to ensure robust data security measures and adherence to data protection laws.
  • Lead the establishment and maintenance of a strong data domain foundation that supports efficient data integration, accessibility, and accuracy across Group Services functions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document data domains, standards, and taxonomies. Ensure that data architecture aligns with the organisations strategic goals and support scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of advanced analytics models and methodologies to extract insight from data.
  • Provide strategic direction on the use of data analytics to identify trends, predict outcomes, and drive business performance improvements and collaborate with business leaders to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights that support decision making.
  • Define, develop, and manage KPIs that align with the strategic objectives of Group Services and the broader organisation. Lead the creation of dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide real-time insights into performance and operational efficiency. Ensure that reporting solutions are user-friendly, accessible, and tailored to the needs of different stakeholders.
  • Manage and mentor a team of data professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in data governance, analytics, and reporting, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize data processes and reporting frameworks.
  • Manage the enablement of self-service analytics. Collaborate with Enterprise Data & Analytics COE to enable business stakeholders to gain insights from their data and engage them in data discovery, analysis, visualisation, and exploration.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in finance system and procedures.
  • Degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics or a related field etc.
  • Relevant experience including (but not limited to) data management, governance, analytics, or a related area, with a focus on service-oriented functions.

  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to produce and analyse reports of high quality
  • Ability to translate data and insights into actionable information to recommend improvement policies
  • Proven track record of managing teams and delivering data-driven insights that impact business outcomes.
  • Possess a strong understanding of industry best practices concerning analytics, systems and governance within a large organisation or business unit
  • Expertise in analytical tools and knowledge of technologies such as Power BI, Microstrategy, SAP BO, SQL and Python
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
