Finance Associate

About The Role

The Associate – Finance is responsible for financial postings across payables, payroll, asset management, and general ledger functions. The role ensures accurate and timely data entry into financial systems in accordance with the fintech company's established accounting principles and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and verify financial data related to accounting operations.
• Maintain and review purchase ledgers to ensure all expenses are accurately posted and monitored against set budgets.
• Review invoices prior to payment to confirm accuracy and validity.
• Process payments to vendors and contractors in accordance with contract terms, including advance payments and penalties.
• Prepare bank reconciliations across all accounts to ensure journal entries are aligned with bank statements.
• Review and post adjusting entries, ensuring supplier accounts are kept current and controls are maintained.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all entries are booked efficiently and on time.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting statements and management reports with accuracy and within required timelines.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2–4 years of experience in a comparable finance or accounting role.
• Prior experience in the FMCG industry and hypermarket environments is required.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and general ledger management.
