Job Description

The Finance Assistant position is integral to the efficient functioning of our finance department. This role primarily involves supporting senior finance personnel in managing daily financial activities. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with billing processes. This position demands a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and numerical skills. The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of financial principles and practices, and the capability to work effectively under pressure within a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and projections with accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Support the monthly and annual financial closings with thorough data entry.
  • Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance manager.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure alignment with internal financial records.
  • Assist with the management of accounts receivables, ensuring timely collections of dues.
  • Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers, and partners as needed.
  • Provide administrative support during budget preparation and ad-hoc financial reports.
  • Help maintain the financial database and ensure all records are up to date.
  • Work with team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Support audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information necessary for analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
