Job Description

The Finance Assistant will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our finance department. This position is ideal for individuals who are meticulous, detail-oriented, and possess strong analytical skills. As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for handling a variety of financial and accounting tasks, including data entry, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. You will work closely with other members of the finance team to support the organization's broader financial strategy and objectives. The role requires good communication skills, proficiency in financial software applications, and the ability to multitask effectively. Responsibilities

  • Perform daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth and transparent departmental operations.
  • Support the accounting team in reconciling financial discrepancies found in records.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial statements and budgets.
  • Conduct periodic audits and help manage company’s financial documentation.
  • Prepare and process invoices and monitor accounts for timely payment.
  • Maintain and update general ledger and financial database systems regularly.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal control policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to support financial planning processes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding financial reports and payments.
  • Participate in special financial projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a finance assistant role preferred.
  • Proficiency with financial software and spreadsheet applications necessary.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail essential for accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for the role.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with integrity.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
