Job Description

The Finance Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of an organization. This position involves managing and processing financial transactions, assisting in budget preparations, and maintaining accurate financial records. A Finance Assistant must possess excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to confidentiality. The role requires collaboration with other finance team members and departments to ensure financial processes run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and management of financial reports and budgets.
  • Process invoices and manage accounts payable efficiently and timely.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies that arise.
  • Support the finance team in conducting audits and preparing tax returns.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the finance department as needed.
  • Monitor financial transactions and ensure they comply with financial policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with external vendors and stakeholders to facilitate financial operations.
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets and databases for financial analysis.
  • Assist in the implementation of new processes to improve financial efficiency.
  • Generate financial insights and reports to aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes with detailed accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and financial software.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Good understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with accuracy.
