Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of financial principles, possess excellent organizational skills, and be committed to accuracy and efficiency within a fast-paced environment. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department’s operations across multiple facets, from processing transactions to assisting with budgeting and reporting. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will contribute significantly to maintaining the financial health of our organization. This position offers the opportunity to develop and expand your financial skills while contributing to the strategic goals of the company.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements for management review.
  • Process invoices, payments, and reconcile transactions in a timely manner.
  • Support the finance team with budget preparation and financial planning activities.
  • Maintain and update financial records and databases to ensure data accuracy.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
  • Manage petty cash transactions and prepare related reconciliations.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes as required.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
  • Prepare and file financial documents in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory financial guidelines.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to resolve finance-related queries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a finance-related role, ideally in a similar industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for financial tasks.
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to financial detail are essential.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
