Job Description

The Finance Assistant is a critical role within the finance department, supporting the team in maintaining efficient financial operations. As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that financial transactions are recorded accurately, managing administrative tasks, and assisting in financial reporting. This role demands strong attention to detail and a foundational understanding of accounting principles. You will collaborate with other finance professionals and departments to facilitate financial forecasting and budgeting activities. Responsibilities

  • Record and monitor daily financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of monthly financial reports and statements.
  • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring all data is accurate and current.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to assist in budget preparation and analysis.
  • Support the finance department in financial audits and compliance checks.
  • Respond to financial inquiries from internal and external stakeholders promptly.
  • Assist with the processing of invoices, expense forms, and payment requests.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies in financial statements.
  • Manage and maintain financial filing systems for easy retrieval of documents.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new financial processes or systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to manage financial relationships and transactions.
  • Prepare and dispatch financial correspondence and documents as necessary.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience in a finance or accounting role of at least one year.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and financial software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for diverse team collaboration.
