Job Description

The Finance Assistant is a vital member of our dynamic finance team. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple financial tasks efficiently while maintaining a high degree of accuracy. The successful candidate will support our finance department in daily financial management and various accounting activities. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of financial processes and possess the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in financial software, excellent communication skills, and a strong grasp of accounting principles are crucial for success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts as required.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are addressed promptly.
  • Review and process invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to ensure consistency of financial data and reporting.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions effectively.
  • Assist with audits, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status for management review.
  • Monitor financial transactions and report any discrepancies to management immediately.
  • Facilitate communication between finance and other departments regarding financial operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a finance or accounting assistant role is required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial tasks.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear correspondence.
  • Experience with ERP systems is an advantage, but not mandatory.
