Job Description

As an IT Support Technician, you will be a crucial member of our technology team, providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. Your primary mission will be to act as the first point of contact for end-users who require troubleshooting assistance. You will support a wide range of IT issues, whether hardware or software, and contribute to maintaining a reliable and efficient technical environment. A successful candidate will be adept at problem-solving, possess stellar communication skills, and remain calm under pressure. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for end-users seeking technical support.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Install and configure computer systems and applications as per company protocols.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all support requests and resolutions.
  • Manage user account setup, changes, and deactivation on various platforms.
  • Provide remote and on-site support to diagnose and resolve IT issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement solutions and improve processes.
  • Assist in IT asset management, including inventory tracking and updates.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance their IT skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and manage system performance, ensuring systems are running optimally.
  • Stay updated with the latest IT trends and technologies to provide informed support.
  • Identify and escalate complex IT issues to senior technical staff when necessary.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and common office software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and hardware technologies.
  • Experience with network management and basic network troubleshooting.
  • A valid certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent is preferred.
