FINANCE ANALYST-GULF & PAKISTAN
This position works out of our UAE location in the Abbott Diabetes Care division.

The Finance Analyst is responsible for providing financial support and counsel to country management in the following specific activities : financial planning and analysis, forecasting, management reporting, and internal controls. Comprehensively oversee, direct and coordinate key aspects of the Financial Planning processes and ensure alignment with Middle East, Turkey, Pakistan Regional HQ.
Manage and coordinate country business partners on the business review presentations and related analysis. The presentation, backup, and analysis must be comprehensive and include the assessment of all data and assumptions, used in the planning development, for reasonableness and the degree of achievability of these forecasts.
Responsible for integrity and validity of financial information, which is critical to the organization in making timely and informed business decisions which support regional goals and objectives.
What Youll Do
- Responsible geographical area includes Gulf and Pakistan.
- Support Forecasting/Business Reviews (Monthly, Quarterly LBE)
- Working closely with the country GM on sales and expenses forecast.
- Correlating sales pipeline to forecast
- Provide in-market/to-market, inventory analysis for distributor markets
- Headcount/Expense forecasting by country by function
- Facilitate variance analysis versus financial commitments.
- Prepare and communicate timely forecasting package to Regional HQ
- Forecast load into Financial system
- Coordinate monthly closing of financial books
- Responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the P&L including Sales, Expenses, Headcount and Investment data for LBEs
- Develop business cases for new product launches, tenders and other country projects.
- Work with country teams in identifying new business opportunities.
- Assist Region HQ Function Managers and Country Management with ad hoc reports and analyses, as requested.
- Continually work to improve current operations through process improvements and value-added analytics.
- Ensure compliance with corporate / local policies and procedures.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- BS or BA in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; MBA or professional qualification preferred.
- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in financial planning and analysis in a pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
- Highly proficient in MS Excel and other MS office programs.
- Experience with Cognos based systems is an added asset.
